Day 1


As a New Year's Day tradition in the South we had blackeyed peas and greens.
I made blackeyed peas with Basmati rice pilaf and turnip greens with salt pork and served it all up with leftover bbq ribs from Thompson Brothers BBQ in Smyrna, Ga. It was a quick and delicious way to ring in the New Year.
I will be posting a dinner a day for the rest of year, so come back and see what we are having tomorrow night.
